More volume isn't automatically more profit
Truckload purchasing can help an established reseller source inventory efficiently, but it also magnifies decisions about capital, labor, space and resale speed. The right volume depends on how quickly and profitably your operation can process merchandise.
Understanding the available volume options
TLW accepts inquiries for half truckloads (approximately 10–15 pallets), full truckloads (approximately 20–26 pallets), and multiple truckloads. These are indicative ranges, not a guarantee of pallet count or availability: actual configurations depend on product size, load and freight considerations.
When a half truckload may make sense
A smaller bulk order may suit buyers scaling up from individual pallets, testing a new merchandise category, or working with tighter warehouse space and cash flow. Even 10 pallets can require substantial handling and a clear resale plan.
When a full truckload may make sense
A full truckload may suit operations with established selling channels, reliable labor, larger receiving space and enough working capital to absorb uncertain inventory outcomes. Transportation efficiency may improve with a fuller trailer, but the true cost per sellable unit still matters.
When multiple truckloads may make sense
Multiple loads require repeatable receiving, inspection, inventory tracking and sales processes. Before committing to that scale, consider how many pallets your team can process per week and whether cash flow can support the time between purchase and sale.
Five questions to ask before submitting an inquiry
- Which merchandise categories and big-box origins fit my customers?
- How many pallets can I receive, sort and store safely?
- What is my total landed budget, including freight and handling?
- Which sales channels will move the inventory—and how quickly?
- Do I need pickup arrangements, or should freight be quoted?
How to inquire with TLW
Truckload sales are arranged separately from our in-person Blitz Sales. Use the Bulk Sales Inquiry form to tell us the merchandise you're seeking, preferred big-box brand, purchasing volume, and whether you need help with freight. Inventory and availability vary, and submitting an inquiry does not reserve a load.
Buyer tip: Compare landed cost and expected sell-through—not simply the headline cost per pallet.
